The biennial conference ’California Dreamin’: New Horizons in Language Learning Technology," organised by the International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT), commenced on the June 21st to 25th at the University of California, Irvine, located in the heart of Orange County in a city named “Safest City in America”. This conference is considered to be of particular interest to all language and culture instructors, individuals affiliated with a media center or language lab, developers of language technology and to individuals interested in any facet of language learning technology.

Established in 1965, IALLT is a professional organization devoted to the advancement, integration, evaluation, and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, literature and culture. It is dedicated to promoting effective uses of instructional technology for language teaching, learning, and research. The conference attracts participants from world-wide offering a rare, international perspective into the future of educational technology for language and cultural learning. It consists of panels, poster presentations, short talks, workshops and other activities providing an opportunity for hands-on exploration for the participants. |

Among the usual attendees of the conference from Europe, Israel and various nations of Asia and America, a three member team under the leadership of Mr Saji Varghese, the Technical Director of Oréll Technosystems (India) Pvt Ltd is the only team participating in the conference from India.
